The Petition to New York City regarding the Firefighter Memorial
protesting the originally proposed Ground Zero Flag Raising Statue and seeking that the as yet unstated plans for a memorial be non-political and historically correct, has surpassed the 250,000 signature mark. It now stands at:
250,650 Signatures
The First 120,000 signatures have been sent to New York firefighters for delivery to the Mayor's Office.
The next 130,000 signatures will be on their way as soon as they are extracted, printed and bound. We will keep doing this until it is clear that plans for the memorial are not politcally driven and are not revisionist. That being the case, please continue to point others towards the petition site at:
http://www.petitiononline.com/flgraise/
to sign and forward the petition on to all they know. We can win this fight and in the process see many of our fellow Americans awakened to the PC-BS going on all around them which they in turn will question and then fight.

FGS, go easy on nic--just showing qualifications for that Olympic judging position that's now open. {;~)
yuh, yuh, yuh. Sigh. Some closer than others. On to the next bidding.......
I can't add, but I can read numbers and subtract, I'll have you know.....and, what's more, I don't show favoritism. Jeff won fair and square. 3 minutes off is 3 minutes off. Now, get over it. : )
See reply #715 and #719.
The 719 reply has Judge Farrakhan's vote for the 'gold'. {;~)
#715: 9:04 Fireworks ready???#719: 299,950, 50 to go ... still holding to 10:15 Mountain, 9:15 pacific
d14truth: "See posts # 715 and 719; the 719 reply has Judge Farrakhan's vote for the 'gold'."
Okay, d14, now I'm totally lost. Care to elaborate? Thank ya.
Just make sure I get a 'participation' ribbon, OK? {;~)
No, sorry about kayak, as much as it hurts (her most, lol), she said: "between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. EST," which would be 6:00 - 8:00 a.m. Mountain time, 5:00 - 7:00 a.m. PST. The winning time was 10:03 a.m. Mountain (12:03 p.m. EST). kayak was off off off by at least 2 hours and 3 min. (so sorry kayak, that's how the cookie crumbles)
The gold goes to Jeff.
ForGod'sSake would have gotten the Silver by being off by 3 min. but he displayed SoreLoserman behavior.
d14truth cheated by trying to revise his bet at the countdown when it went past his original time, so he only gets the blue ribbon of tough cookies
BeforeISleep was asleep...so sorry
Snow Bunny was out in left field, so to speak (has to do with that left zone thing, I think)
Dubya: gets the Silver...he was only an hour off and didn't try to cheat
That leaves me me me with the Bronze; I said by noon, and that's the way it happened. I'm next closest and I didn't cheat. And I'm the judge.
Read 'em and weep.
AHA!!! I knew it, the fix was in! HMPHF! My people will be contacting your people!!!
FGS
I am glad Jeff one .very happy about it. Plus the real winner is the WTC Flag Raising & Memorial petition.....tah dah....
Yes, 'tis true! (and I like your graphic)
A young boy refused to do his homework, and his father was trying to convince him to do it.
He said to his son: "When Abe Lincoln was your age, he was studying books by the light of the fireplace."
The son replied:
"Well, when Lincoln was your age, he was President!"
