I have friends and relatives living in the San Diego area. One of which is a consulting engineer in the tech field. He makes about $120k a year, travels quite a bit, paid big bucks for a modest home, and has a stay at home wife and a few kiddos.
San Diego is an expensive place to live..but usually those who live there draw a salary to prove it.
Thanks Mama, even with that kind of income, after taxes, the $400K house would be a strech....
