Somehow we must ammend the rules of citizenship that a child born here must have at least one parent a US citizen. We have no firm policy regarding illegals andtheir spawn. We are asking for it by granting elaborate free services to illegals. While working Americans cannot afford health insurance but are too 'wealthy' for medicaid, the illegals come in with their swollen bellies sucking down all the medical resources for free. The game is totally out of control. No one is policing the borders. No one has the courage to deny the illegals medical services. We are bleeding from every orifice, and the fingers get pointed in every direction. What a country. Before we know it, English will be banned and Spanish will become the official language.

This is a non-issue since Denver Health is in Diana DeGettes, Patsy Schroeders replacement, district. More constituents for the socialists.

"Because the U.S. Constitution makes every baby born in this country a U.S. citizen, those 6,000 babies immediately qualified for the full range of services provided under Medicaid, at a cost the state does not even tabulate." (Denver Post)

Much worse, we don't even have any idea how many "native-born Americans" below age 18 are living abroad, having spent their entire lives since (maybe) three days past birth in their parents' Third World homeland - who will show up at the border or at some U.S. consulate to demand entrance into the U.S. as "Americans" on their eighteenth birthdays!

Washington therefore has been running immigration policy with no real understanding of the true number of Third Worlders it is entitling to enter the U.S. in the future.

These "Americans" also won't be required to undergo any health or criminal-record checks to get in.

This is a generational time bomb.

There are many groups and interests that for one reason or another don't want this information to be available or to be discussed. Unfortunately, they currently outnumber and far outweigh in political influence those groups and interests that do.

Ain't it the truth. Bump.

California, Arizona and Texas complained about the fiscal impact of health care of hundreds of thousands of aliens for decades and the rest of the country said "piss off". Now, Colorado has 6000 taxpayer payed hospital stays and the sky is falling.

Sleep well America, you made the bed.

...for a grand total of $30 million.

IMHO, this is how to frame the debate. I'd like to see somebody like Tancredo propose an "Guestworker Financial Impact Statement Law" whereby the states calculate how much Bush's proposal to give amnesty to 3.5 million illegal Mexicans will cost them - schools, healthcare, policing, traffic congestion, pollution - and bill the federal government. Money could come out of application fees for guestworker status and/or special taxes on those who employ them.

Companies who employ illegal aliens profit by paying them low wages and dumping the social costs on the rest of us. It's no different than dumping untreated pollution onto public land to save money.

America is the world's Chump. Our good ol' government allows the world, particularly Mexico, to fleece us citizens of our wealth and culture and then tells us not to make a peep of protest...lest you want to be called a racist. What an upside down world. Right is wrong, wrong is right. And Bush not only thinks this is fine, he wants more of it! I just wonder how long America will last as a nation the way things are going.
