Rush is right (as usual).

What is wrong with President Bush? It's not just that he's being a weenie on this issue. I've just finished my morning conservative reading and it is amazing how uniformly main-stream conservatives are disparaging Bush. From his big-government, deficit-spending budget to his socialized education bills, he's losing credibility.

Also Bush and his administration continue to dis conservatives any chance they get. This is of course a well-established Bush theme that started well before he was President with his compassionate conservative slur (Meaning that the rest of us were not compassionate). It continued throughout the campaign and included such shining moments as apologizing to the pinkos of the NAACP for Republican prejudice (conveniently ignoring the fact that Lincoln was a Republican, the civil rights act was passed by a republican majority - but not a democratic majority - and blacks in prominent positions such as Justice Thomas were appointed by Republicans).

Unbelievably Bush just snubbed the CPAC - one of the premier and most powerful Republican organizations by ignoring their latest conference. Since the conference set a new record for attendance, what was Bush thinking? One sub-cabinet staffer who ignored the Bush marching orders to ignore this conference was reportedly sent with instructions not to mention that he was part of the Bush organization.

Other important recent slurs include Sec. of State/condom distribution Powell urging more sexual activity among unmarried teens.

It's time to hold Bush's feet to the fire and start getting a little respect.

Go Rush, Go!

Bush seems to be using his political capital as a chance to become more liberal. It has always failed for conservatives in the past and will fail again. No one cares for pols who have no backbone. They would rather see a tough conservative stand on principle than one on their knees begging to be loved by Demoncrats. As a powerful figure, Bush risks looking pathetic.
