Rush's position has been that it took libs 50 years , by incrementalism, to get to this point and that we cannot overturn 50 years of government 'largesse" in one fell swoop without alarming people who have come to depend on various programs.That would be a realistic and acceptable response if what we had seen for the last year was the Bush administration slowly, carefully, incrementally rolling back the regulatory agencies and bureaucracies.
