"Read the bill Richard and then read the first amendment. You're clueless."

I was talking about the fact that I can speak to you or anyone else as you can about anything that we wish to opine about. This doesn't prevent free speech. What it does is to stop the disinformation that floods the airwaves immediately before the election. Being public personalities the innocent persons being attacked can't sue to get the facts set straight. Whoever is most skilled in lying wins the election. Not my idea of a good thing.

As the House debated the bill on Wednesday, the chairman of the Federal Election Commission, David M. Mason, told those at a Heritage Foundation luncheon that he regarded some provisions of the legislation, including the pre-election ban on issue advertising that mentioned candidates, as "flatly unconstitutional."

You're on the wrong side of the battle. You're either at the wrong website or you would voluntarily get on the train. Wake up.

If you would like to make a wager about the constitutionality of the issue ad provisions, let me know, my granddaughter needs a new bike.

Until and unless the dirty money is taken out of elections only the special interests will have any real input into the governance of this country.

Who are the special interests? Average citizens that care about the issues.

This bill is against the first amendment, as is any supporter of this bill.

It also gives the MEDIA all the power.

You are right, but incumbents hope the Incumbents' Protection Act will make that 100 percent.
