Thomas Jefferson once said that ETERNAL VIGILANCE is the price of freedom. That is certainly true when it comes to the issue of immigration, (both legal and illegal). Generally, I agree with a lot of what President Bush is doing, but, his position on immigration issues escapes me, particularly with wanting to grant amnesty to 3 million, (what about the OTHER 8 to 10 million?), illegal aliens. RATHER THAN JUST RANT AND RAVE ON THIS FORUM, HOW ABOUT TAKING EFFECTIVE, CONSTRUCTIVE ACTION BY BECOMMING INFORMED ON THE ISSUE, AND WORKING THROUGH IMMIGRATION CONTROL AND REFORM ORGANIZATIONS TO LOBBY CONGRESS. Even though well paid by special interests; citizens, when intelligently mobilized, are still the most powerful lobby that Congress knows. TO THAT END, LOG ON TO http://www.fairus.org and http://www.americanpatrol.com and http://www.numbersusa.com . THESE GROUPS CONTAIN A WEALTH OF USEABLE INFORMATION, FREE FAXES TO CONGRESS, AND PREFORMATED LETTERS STATING MUCH OF WHAT EACH OF US WANT TO SEE ACCOMPLISHED. SO, PLEASE DON'T JUST SHOOT THE BREEZE ON THIS FREE REPUBLIC FORUM. GET INVOLVED CONSTRUCTIVELY.

It is becoming very clear that this terrible problem is cartwheeling out of control when we have to "lobby congress" to save our country and stop this titanic invasion of millions.

Don't be fooled, Congress and the Whitehouse knows exactly what the hell is happening, as it is they, that have brought this invasion to our very doors.

Agree. I've already written/emailed/called Bush, Senators, Congressman, Ashcroft repeatedly before and after 9/11. Also spoke up at community meeting with Congressman after 9/11.

It's also important that we educate friends & family. Trick is to be so low-key that the message gets past their media-inspired PC radar.
