More slave labor for big business and illegal votes for DemoRats

That's one angle, only I think it's meant as swinging the illegal vote for the Republicraps, this time. The more amnesty, the more illegals come...let's see, wasn't the last amnesty program early 90's?

"If Bush betrays our trust by granting amnesty to these law-breakers, my whole family's votes go elsewhere, too."

There was a major mistake that was bought into by skeptical Repubs last election. And that was that there is no option but to vote for the lesser of two evils.

An Independent vote, even if your choice does not get in office is more effective in forcing change than a meek vote along with others and the promise made by the "leaders" of that Party that change will occur.

It doesn't occur because they feel Secure that the same tactic will work again the next time.

Right now, if an election were held tomorrow, Bush vs. Gore, the same people who are upset about various issues such as this, would vote the same way again. No Doubt in my mind at all.

And then, the Beat Goes On.

Phooie, biggest historical scam running. Not to me it's not, my vote is as important as anyone's, and it doesn't matter who I vote for, it's still important, never wasted.

Yep. Where it counts--immigration, trade and "real" cuts to government spending there is not a hair’s worth of difference between the 2 parties. Both have become so corrupted with special interest money they have essentially merged into one party. The only way to fight this hopelessly corrupt monopoly of the Demopublicans is to vote for whatever 3rd Party backs serious reforms in immigration and trade.

BTW, remember how both parties in the 90s voted against Term Limits despite the popularity of this issue with the electorate? They knew that with Term Limits the gravy train of business PAC money into their coffers would dwindle dramatically. They also hated the idea because our politicos view themselves as a permanent “ruling class”...something that term limits would almost completely obliterate. It would take away the incentive of making elective politics a career by drawing in people truly willing to represent their districts and states for a limited period of time. We of course can't have that. Why this could lead to a Congress that is more responsive to the "will of the people" instead of the "will of the lobbyists"!

It's all a power game in DC and the arrogance has become so great that they, including Bush don't even bother hiding it anymore, as this Amnesty deal shows. Term limits has to be brought back as an issue if we want positive change. Sure, both parties would vote it down again but at least the electorate will be reminded as to the self-serving nature and outright corruption in the so-called 2 party system.

"Bush has been a good President on a lot of issues, and compared to algore is much more preferred. But on this immigration issue I have no idea what he's thinking. This is not in the national interest."

Please see #84.

Illegal immigration is fast becoming THE #1 issue facing the country, if it isn't already. If the Reform Party runs someone next time committed to cleaning it up I will vote for him or her. That is unless Bush stops pandering to lawbreakers and gives up his ideas of rewarding them.

Except I don't think it is going to swing that way.

DemoRATS will always offer more crumbs at the expense of tax payers.

What am i talking about?

Both parties are going to see who can out crumb each other.

Our children will be paying for this until forever. They will become slaves paying servants to big government so we can subsidzie half of Mexicos population

http://www.petitiononline.com/immiGBA/petition.html...Can somebody make a clickable link?...This petition needs some serious help!!!

Already been there. BTW, let’s all call our congressmen and senators about this. I gave an earful to mine today. Also, I liked the idea that a Freeper had in printing out this thread with all the comments and sending it to the White House. Our Rulers need to know what we think.

You want to contribute and volunteer? So, go here:

Ranch Rescue

They need the help. So do the Barnetts in Douglas, Arizona.

No one else is on their side.

In 20 years, America will be reduced to a third world country thanks to illegal immigration.

The politicians (of both parties) want this to happen.

I consider this to be the act of a man who doesn't respect the laws of our nation. As such he should resign and go to work for the mob or some other concern that feels the same way he does about them.

You don't understand. This is a super-secret, super-brilliant plan to ensure GOP dominance during the next election cycle! You must trust Bush.

And even if the Republicans don't do well this election, don't worry. It just means they had changes to the plan which will ensure even bigger victories in 2004. See how brilliant the plan is? The more we lose, the more we win.

/sarcasm
