Just looked up a bio on him, and according to the site I found he did go to MIT, but on a political science (and I hesitate to call that a science) scholarship. Had one IQ test that showed him at 180, and a near-perfect SAT. Originally he wanted to be an eye surgeon but an accident injuring his hand cut that plan short. He started doing drama at MIT.

All graduates of MIT must take the "core curriculum", which is heavy in science and math.  It matters not what your eventual major is.  I, for one, am glad to have him as a fellow alumnus.
