All graduates of MIT must take the "core curriculum", which is heavy in science and math.  It matters not what your eventual major is.  I, for one, am glad to have him as a fellow alumnus.

Good to know. Our 12-year-old has set his sights on MIT, though we're encouraging him to consider it more as a graduate school choice. He's a budding engineer in all respects.
