Why risk jumping to one conclusion over the other?

EXACTLY.....seems to be a lot of that going around these days.

WRAL was even nice enough to give us a tour of the inside of the Bojangles to where the trucker sat!!

Glad I missed seeing that one. I only made the mistake of going to a Bojangles once, believe me that was enough.

Seems to be the standard response to these things since 9/11.

You're right that is the standard response. I don't get it. Then why did they issue that special alert for North Carolina, Georgia and Virgina last night? Do they really think the Amercian people are that stupid? It amazes me how freepers here put the pieces together days before feds do.

Last night there was a flash on Fox News. Also, here's an excerpt from today's NY Post:

Meanwhile, FBI agents in North Carolina issued an unrelated alert after the driver of a fuel truck reported that two possibly Middle Eastern men tried to force him off a highway yesterday, The Washington Post reported.

"We don't know if it was a case of international terrorism . . . or road rage," said Frank Perry, the agent in charge of the FBI's Raleigh office. "But their conduct got our attention."

The FBI issued an all-points bulletin in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia for the assailants' bronze-colored Dodge Neon with New Jersey plates.
