Actually, there is a groundswell of support amongst the Orthodox Jews to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem and re-introduce the sacrificial slaughter of livestock and blood atonement. Just one reason the situation is so volatile in Jerusalem - there are many who would like to see the Dome of the Rock mosque, which currently sits atop the ruins of the ancient Hebrew temple (the ultimate desecration) blown to kingdom come.

I read an article in Time Magazine about thirteen or fourteen years ago that mentioned that fact. However, my impression has been this is a very tiny movement in Israel, and is opposed by the secular state of Israel who have been known to arrest these people during their demonstrations at the Wailing Wall.

But they are Orthodox and 100 percent committed to their cause.

But David had the Lord with him. IMO, the path of the Lord and Judaism diverged 2,000 years ago.
