.....I have never understood the entire faith to think this way any more than Jews still hanker to slaughter more cows and sheep. Actually, there is a groundswell of support amongst the Orthodox Jews to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem and re-introduce the sacrificial slaughter of livestock and blood atonement. Just one reason the situation is so volatile in Jerusalem - there are many who would like to see the Dome of the Rock mosque, which currently sits atop the ruins of the ancient Hebrew temple (the ultimate desecration) blown to kingdom come.

However, my impression has been this is a very tiny movement in Israel, and is opposed by the secular state of Israel who have been known to arrest these people during their demonstrations at the Wailing Wall.
