Proposed Clinton Speech on Taiwan Draws Fire
Political analysts reacted sharply Wednesday to reports that former President Clinton will speak at a conference in Australia on the unification of Taiwan with mainland China around the time President Bush will pay a visit to Beijing, where the same subject is likely to be a hot topic.
The Feb. 20 - 23 conference in Sydney on cross-strait relations, for which Clinton reportedly will receive a $300,000 speaker's fee, will coincide with Bush's first official visit to Beijing, on Feb. 21 - 22. William Chhiu, an Australian Chinese businessman who has dealings with Beijing as well as the United States, will pay Clinton's fee, The Washington Times reported Tuesday, citing media sources.
Terroism warning issued last night. Hmmmmm
BTTT!
.
China is it!!!
I don't know that they're "it", but they might be giving some clandestine help along the way. I don't know much about satellites, but the war is probably taking away some observation time from China. I imagine they'd like to see our people, civilian and military, worn out before they make their move on Taiwan. And I doubt that they're crying over the potential rift between Europe, Russia and us.
FWIW, there was an allegation made the other day (by someone on O'Reilly, maybe?) that the steel in the building was imported or substandard--something along those lines.
He described the automobile in question only as "a four-door car,'' declining further detail. Fayette County Sheriff Bill Kelley said the car was a 1992 Acura Legend. The Acura Legend changed greatly from 1990 to 1991. 1990 and prior are "Type I", 1992 and after are "Type II". The Type II has higher HP, more aerodynamic shape. The sedan -- which this is because it is 4-door, has driver-side airbags and ABS brakes. The car receives very high reviews in nearly all categories. (See MSN CarPoint)According to an FBI affidavit, Katherine Smith had a 1992 Acura she was purchasing from one of the Middle Eastern men. Asst. U.S. Atty Tim DiScenza said in court Monday the burned car is the same one Smith had.
CarPoint's Reliability notes potential problems with the ABS brakes for that year:
An occasional problem on this vehicle is failure of the ABS Pressure Switch. The cost to repair the ABS Pressure Switch is estimated at $308.00 for parts and $40.00 for labor. All prices are estimates based on $65 per flat rate hour and do not include diagnostic time or any applicable sales tax.
Don't bet on it, as a friend (L.A. County Sheriff) said to me, "the FBI couldn't follow a menstrating elephant in a snow bank"!
Nita, Take a look at this!
Here is x42's connection to the ChiComs and just look where he was on 9-11. Does this fit in the *tranny file?
On most major cases that is true. If one checks over the years, almost all breaks in such cases were GIVEN to them by a citizen. At gumshoe work they have no interest and are not very good. If their case is to crack John Q. Public on some unimportant rap, they can solve that one. Case in point the anthrax case, even with several hundred men involved they are empty handed.
