A better response would have been to pursue the perpetrators through private investigative channels.

When one nation declares war on another, either through official channels or through an unprovoked attack, there are no longer any innocents. Whether you like it or not, the people who live in a nation are locked to its destiny.

That's why the character of the leaders is so important.

Now, who are those people in the rest of the world who think we're criminal? Britain? Nope. Germany? Nope. France? Maybe, but I'm not sure and I'm not sure I care. Pakistan? Nope. Russia? Nope. China? I'm not sure they know - they're to busy persecuting people within their borders and forcing women to have abortions to pay attention. Turkey? Nope. Japan? Nope. So, who are they?

Shalom.

One would normally choose, however, not to do so in public.

I would nope not in private either.

But, with deviancy being defined as normal these days, who knows?

Shalom.

It stands for "wondering why there is so little substance to the arguments for war."

So little substance to the arguments for war? What planet do you live on? We aren't arguing for the war. You argue about a war, pro or con, before it is declared.

In case you were in your home dimension on September 11, 2001, we were thrust into a war. Since then there have been no arguments...

Only victories!

Does that bother you?

Shalom.

Dan, so, honestly, what should have been done regarding 9/11?

Should we just cower in fear? Or, should we do what is right, and just, and defend out country, and our innocent civilians that were murdered?

Perhaps you could come up with some kind of argument to refute my post ? Just by parotting "tripe" doesn't say anything, except that it adds to the "tripe."

Very well although it is hardly worth the effort.

I doubt Dubya is much admired in most of the rest of the world whose people consider the killing of 3000+ Afghan civilians in an illegal, undeclared war a war crime.

We'll assume you are correct and that most of the rest of the world dislikes W.

Who cares. Its not a popularity contest. They knocked down 2 of our buildings and killed thousands of our people. We root them out and kill them back, then make sure they don't do it again. Period.

The fact that W doesn't care much what the rest of the world thinks is proof he understands more about foreign policy than you do.

Since you seem to care so much about World opinion, yet are still so clueless about it, let me help by giving you two simple rules.

1) If the US does not focus on foreign affairs, we are called isolationists and are ridiculed and despised by Europe and the rest of the world.

2) If we take an active role in foreign policy we are interfering and it is called American Hegemony. And we are ridiculed and despised by Europe and the rest of the world.

Dubya stepped right into Osama's trap. Nice going Dubya, Rummy, and the rest of this administration's warmongers.

Right. Osama's trap. Osama laid a trap all right. He laid it expecting a response like your hero, the sink emperor himself would give. Just like when a truck bomb was used to attempt to blow up the World Trade Center, or the embassy in Saudi Arabia was blown up, or when a hole was blown in the Cole.

Only this time Osama got a different response.

Who trapped who?

Wonderful article, well written, and I totally agree. One of the most endearing things about the President is his ability to tell it like it is. He doesn't just play to the polls, he says what he thinks, and I think this nation was hungry for that kind of voice after 8 years of double speak.
