Ditto. And those fools at NBC paid $65 million for that "ugly little mouth" on Couric.

I also HOWLED at the thought of how irate the perky one must be. Not a word out of her ugly little mouth.

The Pesky Perky One may have, however, commented with a well-scoped and photographed part of her posterior.

LOL at "And those fools at NBC paid $65 million for that "ugly little mouth" on Couric." And I bet Katie would spend that entire 65 million for a mouth like Laurie Dhue's.

I loved every minute of the opening that I viewed......LOL.......listening was another story.....aarrgggghhhhhh.

Guess it's just that the man means so much to the world that I was afraid when I saw the cell phone.

The Mossad has perfected the use of the cell phone as a murdering device and I am sure others have figured it out too.

I had the privilege of sitting in the audience when our president spoke at the National Cattlemen's Beef Assoc meetings in Denver. His comments to the audience were spoken from the heart. He calls a spade a spade and really connected with the audience. Hard to believe but after his presentation, he and Mrs. Bush stayed for around 45 minutes to shake hands and sign autographs. I kick myself for not being more persistent in moving towards the front as several of my friends and colleagues came away with his autograph and memories of shaking his hand. Truly a people's president! We are indeed fortunate to have President Bush and his family in the Whitehouse during these trying times.

Bravo for Bush for speaking for the people (in this case - the athletes). He did not put himself up above them but right there with them -- sort of like when he was using the bullhorn with the Ground Zero workers.

During the mid-1980s I attended quite a few baseball games at the old Texas Rangers stadium in Arlington. I always went with a friend who had season tickets between third base and home plate and I enjoyed watching Dubya sit behind the dugout. He was there every game and was very good with the "little people." I wish that I had had the sense back then to walk the 50 feet or so between us and strike up a conversation. Back then he was nothing more than one of the sons of the Vice President.

I'm always running into store clerks and such in the north Dallas area who are anxious to tell me what a nice, friendly, and unassuming man Dubya is. He's certainly one for making friends everywhere he goes.

The producers who did this, or the management, whomever, are very stupid people who probably like the way katie trashes conservatives. They got back a HUGE SLAP last night, as the program was so high in the ratings and a huge part of America got to see the real miss colic in action. Katie's lack of professionalism and inability to seize the moment was there for all the world to see....and her nastiness and haughtiness was on display, BIG TIME!

I know what you mean. I got so annoyed, I reached for the mute button before realizing that I wouldn't be able to hear the music! But it was such a wonderful show that even THEY couldn't ruin it.

I think the girl and her phone had been through more security checks than any of us could imagine.

She's not worth 65 cents. I'm off to try and find an e-mail address for NBC so I can express my opinion of the heinous Miss Couric!

Had they scoured the Earth, they could not have found three other individuals capable of ad-libbing a more pathetic string of banalities.

Well, why do you think these people have their jobs? You might have stumbled on a formula to get a high paying media jobs in this country (or anywhere else, I suspect!) I must confess that I didn't last that long last night and turned in after the utterly mediocre soul singer dressed in American flags pajamas accompanied by an obligatory obese food stamp gospel choir. Whatever, the reports I'm reading here are more satisfying than the telebision images.

"You know, she is 17 years old, and was no doubt excited at everything going on. He could have refused for security reasons, or said he would call her mother later, but instead just took the call, as any normal person would. Cut the girl some slack...she is just a kid."

I agree with you. Some folks see evil in everything. I pity people around them. If you smile at them and say good morning, they think you are insincere. Not smile and say good morning, you are arrogant for snubbing them. Just have storm clouds surrounding them. Reminds me of a neighbor I once had...

Fresh of breath air isn't it? Mamma didn't have to say "keep your sleazy hands off my kid...and that goes for your wife, too!"

President Bush has brought character back to the White House!
