"I knew that there would be an accommodation reached; I talked to some friends about it," he said.I would have loved to be a fly on the wall during those "talks" with "some friends." You've got to love this President's understatements.

"and it turned out that the Bush family was in the files."
"Before you tell me," Bush said to his hosts, "are there any horse thieves in there?"
I wonder what kind of information they have on Clinton's family history?

It's sort of easy to pick out the secret service guy in that picture. He's the only one that's not smiling.
I thought the Pres did great last night

Was watching a little of the time trials for the Daytona 500 next week. One of the drivers talked about how inspiring the opening ceremonies were last night and then said "I just love listening to President Bush." Bet Katie is having fits.

Didn't the kid on his right make a phone call and ask G.W. to say a quick word to the person on the other end, which he did. We thought that was so nice, probably gave whoever was on the other end of the line a huge thrill. In addition to being a great leader, G.W.'s just a good egg.

not smiling...Boy, you're not kidding. I know it's in their job description, but I still think G.W. owes everyone on that detail last night one heck of a great steak dinner. Talk about Maaloxx moments.

This President shows no fear. He is the best example we have of standing up to terrorism and I am so very proud of him. I'm sure he does frustrate the Secret Service but he sure makes his fellow citizens feel great! I love the man!

I thought the "compromise" on how the WTC flag was handled was AWESOME! I blubbered through the entire thing - even get teary thinking about it now. Don't know who thought of the "compromise" - I would guess our guy Bush - but it was more than perfect. AND him sitting in with the US teams was PERFECT.
