"the president and his aides are now said to be "quietly pushing" a probe" " "Sec. 702. - General Accounting Office
(a)
The General Accounting Office is an instrumentality of the United States Government independent of the executive departments. "
The White House has only reported the damage to the GAO.
Walker's complaints at having to do his job and investigate destruction of public property should be directed towards the congress that gave his agency that duty.
If he no longer wants to work at the GAO, he can leave for a cushy DNC arranged job.

You should never mention PROBE and HITLERY in the same sentence !"Lickety-split" is more appropriate.

I knew somebody who would complain about Bush for not doing this earlier would find an excuse now to hate him still....you are the first on this thread. Welcome.

Out of nowhere? Are you kidding? Remember, her spokeman recently said that "Hillary is not going to run for president..." You are right...
I wonder if something is getting ready to break and this is an pre-emptive attempt gather sympathy for poor, poor Hillary?
That is another tried & true tactic.
To: Chad Fairbanks
Nope. That would be lickety spit. That process usually comes before what I said.

Well, the Clintonista press sure knows how to push hot buttons here, don't they? Amazing.
Look at how many use this opportunity to gripe about Bush not pushing this before. Then another group is just SURE that we are going to have a trial.
This is NOT a credible story, in that there are no sources except that Clintonista guy at GAO. No one from the administration is pushing this. Some Republicans in Congress MIGHT be pushing, bull-headed as they are.
You are correct. It is a "poor Hillary " story and transparently so. I do believe this will backfire on them, however. I am watching with great interest to see how this will happen, because I KNOW that it will.

A little payback for Daschle's blocking of the stimulus bill I assume. Looks like W is finally starting to play some hardball !

Bush is one smart cookie. The Democrats can hardly claim he is playing politics when they demanded the White House apologize for allegations of vandalism by Clinton staffers. I suspect Bush was just waiting for this opportunity.

Hee Hee! Good Additions! LOL
To: MeeknMing
It is a strategy to appear like the Bush administration is not playing politics by withholding info from Congress while also obeying the rule of law by releasing the documents when subpoenaed. A win-win scenario for Bush.

Forget about the NewsMax article and read the original article from the New York Daily News
as posted here. The article, which you seem to read as a Democrat plant, states that 100 people have already been interviewed, including a lengthy interview with chief of staff Andrew Card in
November (before the Enron scandal broke wide open.) This article further claims that this investigation has been
ongoing, despite previous claims by the GAO to the contrary (a point that the NewsMax article did not make clear.)
The point in bringing up the Salon.com article was not to validate the contents of the article, but rather to substantiate my belief that Bernard Ungar can be fairly catagorized as a "media whore".

Yes, as well as some pre-emptive work since there have been rumblings lately of Hillary coming out of the closet to run for President.
She needs a good, hard slap. Bush bides his time, but when he hits I do believe he hits hard.
By the way...didn't Walker (GAO) once work for Andersen?

Klayman and others continue to investigate the C*inton administration yet we have heard little of them since Bush took over. I believe the current administration is holding a wad of trump cards against the people who trashed the White House for eight years and am anticipating the possibilty of an exciting "card" game. In my more humorous moods, however, I kind of picture the "game" as more like Wack-a-Mole (Wack-a-C*inton).

I just need to vent my opinion once in a while!I never miss your posts! You vent 'just right'. Never stop!!! And I hope I am right about holding back the ammo and keeping it safe, never, ever using it until and unless certain action by opponents warrant lock and loading. My guess-locking and loading and perhaps aiming- (heh heh) is going on right now. Ever so gently....for now. :^)

Man I do hope something comes of this, however once things start to get interesting they will be shut down because the DEMS will dream up something else. Can you imagine another terrorist attack just to cover what the Clinton Administration has done? That's who is behind all acts of terrorism in this country, it's the Democratic side of our government. They are motivated by power, and that is how they get it. The create a situation where people demand more laws, and more protection, then enact it immediately. That is the Democratic way of thinking.
We bombed an aspirin factory to cover Bill Clinton's rear over Monica. The USS Cole was bombed to cover another scandal, and it seems to me that September 11th can be traced back to Clinton in ways that nobody has thought about. I can tell you, we can blame the Dems for all that has happened to America over the 8 years Clinton was in office. I wonder why we haven't been told the truth about the Murrah Building in OKC?

Whack-A-Mole is still accurate, because imho they are both long-term Soviet sleeper agents bent on destroying our nation... after the Soviet Union "fell", they then used their KGB-taught talents for their own agendas...
Hey, ya never know.. it COULD be true... ;0)
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
It seems strange that they wait until over 1 year after the alleged acts to request an investigation.
