WOW. God bless these men and keep them safe.
They give more in a day than most of us give in a lifetime.

Great nose art. I loved working on those jets.

Great nose art. I loved working on those jets. As I, way too many years ago, [Although I did spend some great time, again, in the F/A-18 sims last years -- whoopee!] loved flying them!
If there is any better fun to be had whilst seated -- except perhaps spraying crops -- I've yet to discover it!

Tail art...

Was at an airshow just after the Gulf war...they actually brought the ground crews who serviced the aircraft present in the gulf...they just beamed..and talked and talked about their kites...
For photographers who like tailfin art and nose art this was a great time..
An F-14 Tomcat had about 40 camels painted below the canopy..a F-117 that was static had a Skeleton with a Scythe..and the name "Ghost Rider".
2F-15 Eagles with "Fast pack" fuel cells attached were down from the interceptor wings in Alaska...these aircraft were not part of the airshow..parked at a distance..with armed guards present .
Have you flown the Janes Israeli airforce sim?..it is awesome...based on flight sim engine..and researched to duplicate Israels military ops with help from pilots who saw action in the conflicts...a tough sim...lots of things to do...if one deviates..one does not return.
Taking out sams in the Bekka Valley will put knots in your stomach...don't drink to much coffee prior to flying!

Yep -- and have a bunch of single seaters in my various other sims, too.
But except for a couple of thousand hours in Lears [The design of which is basically just a converted fighter] -- and the 1450+SHP PT-6-engined crop sprayers which, through the years, I've spent way too many hours, in way too many "strange environments" -- the US Marine Corps Air Station Miramar F/A-18 sims in which [Courtesy of the US Navy] I've been privileged to log a bunch of hours in the past couple of years, are the closest to an actual jet fighter I have come since I was a boy pilot.
