Good should outgrow--choke--make it extinct...go-went-gone forever--
not like meat and potatos like how the liberals--libertarians make it a way of life--diet!
So people should be subject to government prosecution and punishment for violating the first commandment, requiring exclusive worship of the God of Abraham?
Or maybe they should be thrown in the slammer for taking the Lord's name in vain?
Or maybe if they don't keep the Sabbath day holy, we should fine them?
Are you sure you've thought this through?
Yes.... yes of course.
We shouldn't strain at such gnats as a government requirement to worship only the God of Abraham.... right?
(maybe you missed out on that whole "Bill of Rights" thing).
tar-babyism- The act of embarassing Deb by having her answer a decidedly simple question, in a decidedly silly fashion.
This is what woke me up...
my dear patient mother I didn't understand would tell me---
"don't throw out the baby(clean) with the bath water(dirty)"...
nothing so shook my life--world when my son was born--now thank God this month it will happen again--to him and me!
My wife had to calm me down in the delivery room...other than that I am ussually dense---VERY!
Some things do sink through...
If a woman doesn't want to get pregnant.. why does she??
There are even free Birth Control clinics at most County Departments of Public Health. To much trouble to go get on the pill?? Might gain weight? Trojans to much hassle??
I've worked Maternity,..and I can assure you that a 6 week old fetus..is a baby!!! (So are 1week old fetuses)
I also had the horror of working for a Public Health Dept in California. I quit!!!
Young women were honest to God using abortion as a means of birth control!! In the 4 months I lasted in that environment as a supervisor over the clinic. I witnessed one young lady get two abortions. Upon looking at her chart.. it was obvious this was her means of BC.
Furthermore.. Partial Birth Abortion defies logic. How can it be harmful to a womans life to deliver,.. then they deliver vaginally to have a full term (at times) child killed while its arms and legs dangle from between the mothers legs?? They deliver a viable human being who could survive outside of the womb.. they deliver BREACH no less, which is by far harder than a normal delivery (head first). So explain that one to me??
In no way does it ever save a womans life. Other than from the economical and social responsibilities they would face had they not murdered the child.
Do you need any further clarification?? I'd be happy to enlighten you.
That's all nice and everything, but what does it have to do with whether or not the 10 commandments should be the law of the land?
My work here is done.
Good day.
how people live after that is their choice--consequence--fate-design...
That was almost lucid.
And had it been just a bit moreso... it would have been something I'd have agreed with.
There is no relation between the way a diaphram works and the way the morning after pill works.
DOES THE MORNING-AFTER PILL PREVENT PREGNANCY, OR CAUSE ABORTION?
Unfortunately, no one elected the Supreme Court which has created a law that allows self-centered or ignorant women to murder their own children. This law flies in the face of the will of the majority of American women who oppose the murder of over a million unborn children a year.
Wrong. -- The USSC said that states can't prosecute abortion as murder till there is a viable victim, a baby. And even then, it said, the murder must be prosecuted with due process, before a jury.
States cannot just flat out prohibit abortion, any more than they can 'prohibit' other self imposed acts. You own your body, not the state.
Hope this helps.
My own body would be seperate from the body growing in the womb. Your argument is specifically why I'm not a libertarian. Everything is "don't tell me what to do!" Did you see those pictures I posted? I don't give a damn what anyone says, there has to be a moral standard to which society adheres to. We have to recognize concrete moral truths as a society--this means laws that uphold the sancitiy of every life from conception to death.
