Hopefully many New York Freepers will stage a counter-demonstration to support our wonderful President and neener-neener those FemiNazi hags.

If any of you Freepers ARE going to be there and take pictures, please include a mega-barf alert before posting the photos on FR--LOL! I shudder to think what that FemiNazi crowd is going to look like.

But are the 10 commandments God/law?

Should they be the law of the land?

A yes or no will do.

Apparently you don't understand the democratic process. You see our Constitution now allows women to vote for people who are called "representatives". These represenatives then go to Washington where they make legislation that produces laws under which we live. Women may vote for whomever they choose, so you see, it is possible for a woman to vote for a man to represent her and that man may then vote for or against abortion legislation. If the representative votes in a way which displeases that woman, she may then vote against him.

Unfortunately, no one elected the Supreme Court which has created a law that allows self-centered or ignorant women to murder their own children. This law flies in the face of the will of the majority of American women who oppose the murder of over a million unborn children a year.

Hope this helps.

Very simply there is a common denominator to decency--respect--civilization...

how people live after that is their choice--consequence--fate-design...

but there has to be some clean fabric-foundation that society can cling--grow--survive on.

That is critical--the common denominator--civil--not criminal!

I'll be for the 2nd time a grandfather soon--maybe a "3rd"--a junior!

What kind of world is that going to be for him/her---God help us!

Christians believe the Bible is the Word of God. The Bible says God gave the Ten Commandments to Moses to give to the people.

If you don't believe the Bible is the Word of God then obviously you wouldn't believe the Ten Commandments were God's law.

Typical of atheists you dedicate more intellectual web-spinning to ancient philosophers than to the words of a "mythical being". You don't seem to be able to keep on any subject without driving your cart into the same old ditch.

I asked whether the 10 commandments should be the law of the land.

I don't suppose you're up to tackling that toughie.

In a civilized society none of this is talked about---debated--mentioned...

anything goes now and the liars--murderers--cheats are winning?

OK, but should the 10 commandments be the law of the land, or not?

Why are you afraid of answering the question?

With the possible exception of "coveting" and outlawing the disrespect for parents, of course they should be the law of the land. In fact, they already are...obviously.

You're probably one of them guys who believes the Constitution was based on Iroquois law.

Do you mean above all other laws or including current laws?

Obviously some of the 10c. are incorporated into law already.

One of the 10c., thou shall not covet thy neighbor's wife is not a political issue but a moral one.

God's name in vain lost it's lustre in the 60s.

Murder, theft, fraud and are common sense and are both in Common Law and the 10c.

Who doesn't shop on Sundays?

Most people still honor their mother and father(another common sense 10c)

No, the 10c don't belong in the Law books.
