I remember when I was a hard-core Creationist. I one day asked on a crevo thread "Is there evidence for evolution?" (in want to say PatrickHenry gave me some links, but I'm not quite sure) just to find out what it was all about instead of giving the oft-repeated creationist arguments. I read Finding Darwin's God (great book btw for Christians who struggle with evolution) and begin forming opinions that are not so popular with the fundamentalist Christian regime. But that's life. I want people to be able to see that you can "believe in" evolution and retain your belief in the Christian God.

Given your "belief" in evolution and the Christian God, can you explain Jesus' resurrection? It is widely reported that Jesus rose instantaneously from the grave. It is also a central tenet of Christianity that Jesus is God. If He can raise Himself from the grave instantaneously, why would He need billions of years to create life in the first place? Just a little intellectual exercise for those who like taking both sides.

I have tried to keep an open mind...but the absolute arrogance I keep seeing in the evols keeps me from being able to take more stock in their opinions.
