I'll defend Pats fans on this. The true liberals of Boston wouldn't want to have anything to do with such a proletariat sport as pro football, its just so beneath them. They are too haughty to even understand football, too worried about finding a new way to protest American troops and bitter about the Contras. Please don't even try and convince me that Ted Kennedy knows what an onside kick is.

Well put. I've been to Patriot games and the parking lot is always full of pickups and proper flag-waving, beer-drinking, good Americans. You'd think you were in the middle of Nebraska or something. Most liberals wouldn't be caught dead in such a setting.

Although certainly no fan of Ted's, he did play fullback at Harvard, so, yeah, the likelihood is great he does know what an onside kick is.

Unless he's forgotten it. Which is entirely possible.
