The big winner is not the Patriots but the patriots of this country.

WE WILL NOT BE SCARED INTO GIVING UP OUR LIFE STYLE!

Congrats to the Pats. I didn't think they could win it, but I'm happy I took the points! It's great that a team called the Patriots win in this year!

Well, this was absolutely the best football game I have ever seen. Of course, I said that last week with the Steelers game. And then the week before that with the Raider snow bowl.

All due credit goes to the Rams who didn't give up and for a few minutes, I thought that they were going to pull it out and give New England another heartbreak.

It is the government that is responsible!

The funniest thing I've read all night.

Blame GW Bush because some addict blows coke up his nose!

New England is too liberal.

But they have a good football team by gum!

Where do terrorists get their money?

How about that libertarians?

I'm glad you asked that!

From what we were told about the Afghanis it is
the War On Drugs that gives terrorists the most income.

Our Government outlawed drugs which caused the
price that criminals can charge for them to be excessively
high.

Furthermore, because the terrorists underworld has
a need to hide it's activities from established society
in the same way as drug dealers, the melding of the
two counter-cultures has been a natural occurrence.

The sensational news value of the effort to stop
drug trafficking continues to give drug use far better
advertising to potential users than Madison Avenue
ever could.

In addition to this, the illicit nature of drug use drove
the normal adolescent curiosity in young people to
find out what all of the hype is about.

It is not far fetched to realize that stopping the war
on drugs would dry up terrorist money and methods
when contraband would suddenly go from hundreds,
thousands and millions of dollars, to pennies and nickels.

Drug dealers would be driven out of business when
they can no longer make a profit.

Private social service agencies could quickly move in to
treat drug users through education and counseling.

Users would be able to more readily seek help when they
are no longer being imprisoned because they made
themselves addicted.

Private businesses and industry could more effectively
focus its efforts toward assuring that employees were
drug free when the need to hide worker's addictions
from police agencies is ended.

Drug use would no longer have an illicit drawing power.

Associated crimes such as robbery and murder would
decrease drastically because users would no longer have
to steal or kill to get money to buy drugs.

Then police agencies could focus on apprehending
terrorists instead of terrorizing citizens..

Patriotism everwhere, the return of class and normality, a massive underdog overcoming all, best football game ever, drama to the very end, a halftime experience that will never be forgotten for anyone under 40, the adults in charge, the ship of state returning onto course, and a God-fearing man leading the way, reasserting benevolent power. The Golden Age has arrived.

The 21st Century began tonight.

Will they bring them out of the locker room for a kickoff to run out the last 2 seconds that should be on the clock? Nope, but they would for a regular season game. Pats were smart to run out on the field and celebrate before the refs could say anything about the clock.

Congratulations! I have the Colts, so I know how much you guys wanted to win, being the underdogs.

That was a great game, and I wouldn't have even watched it if it hadn't been for all the patriotic stuff they were promoting.

And thanks to all of you on this thread who explained things. I am not a big football fan, so your commentary was great!
