Anti aircraft batteries around every American nuclear power plant? Why would that be so hard to do?

CNN is breaking story that a document has been found, translated, and verified that a
terrorist cell of three (3) men are in the United States and recruiting Muslims and other non-Arabs on a plan to attack a nuclear power plant in a similar way that the WTC was attacked. The document states that the nuke plant should be close to a city in case the plant is being patrolled by fighters, and to divert the plane to the nearest tall building. I say time to racial profile, big time!

Sure. Put some Patriots around each nuke plant and shoot down anything that flies with 5 miles of them.

Well, I guess an airline attack on a nuclear power plant is right out now.

Obviously known by Bush and Rumsfeld beforehand -- Bush alluded to such in the SOTU address.
One supposes that somebody in government "leaked" it to CNN and presumably others.
Not that it makes the report false -- quite the contrary, it's probably true. Just thought the timing was convenient.

They can give up on taking a commercial plane. Ain't gonna happen. Perhaps a poorly guarded cargo plane, or a smaller private plane. Maybe a 18 wheeler.

You may be thinking of what it would take to destroy the massive containment domes of the nuclear reactors. You are correct that they are very strong. However, many tons of used fuel are outside the containment domes, in pools or in dry storage. Those may be covered with nothing more than a tin roof and are not secure against rocket attack, much less the force of a loaded jetliner.

I say time to racial profile, big time!I agree (and so do many others) we have all the reason in the world to profile at this point. People have to understand that we are on high alert and thusual rules do not apply. If you don't like it then leave. If you are here legally and you get stopped because of the way you look try to keep in mind that this has to be done for everyone's safefty.
Otherwise keep up the good work at the airports stopping all the old white ladies for "random" checks

They need a 737 or bigger dont they according to design specs? Not if they go for the waste pool, which is the most likely target. They're often unguarded, let alone shieded.

Just don't hold your breath. Won't happen. That airliner stunt worked once, it won't work again.
'Course if they hijacked a Fedex or UPS or Airborne plane, diff't story. Hope the feds are watching those too. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that it'll be a lot easier hijacking one of them than a real airliner with passengers who fight back.
'Course, given the feds previous stupidity, that could happen and they'll all say how no one could have figgered that.
