But you are wrong about the facts that the pilgrims did leave England and the Netherlands because of religious freedom, you can't dispel that.

I think you have me confused with someone else. My post only addressed the accuracy of the report as to whether or not Virginia's Standards of Learning teaches about Pilgrims.

And you missed the point of the posting which had to do with the removal of the founding fathers, AKA "old white men" and political correctness in our schools by so-called republicans. The civil war ended a long time ago, most of us, as immigrant Europeans who came in the late 1880's-1920's, were not even here at the time, it's time to end the war.

No, I didn't miss the point, I simply didn't comment on 'the point.' My post only addressed the accuracy of the report as to whether or not Virginia's Standards of Learning teaches about Pilgrims.

The article was talking about the State standards of Virginia. Have you read them? In NJ it may be in the core curriculum not to teach about the pilgrims but most districts do.

So, the article may be right. You will have to read the STATE standards of VA. True, your local school may teach about the Plymouth Pilgrims and your state curriculum guides may not.
