Exactly! This speech was a direct shot at the Democrats. He co-opted nearly every major issue with the exception of the Environment.

I do wish he had mentioned the stalled Judicial nominees.

Did you notice how little he used 'I'? It was 'We', 'You', 'They'. He looked serious and sincere, not always easy to pull off.

While there are issues I disagree with, it was the right speech for this time.

Which raises the question, how is he different from the Democrats? Clinton co-opted every Republican issue and he was said to be a bad guy on this forum because of it. But this guy does it and the same people genuflect.
