Among many things, it's interesting that he now includes Hezbollah. And distinguished the "few" who rule Iran from the parliament.

Now America is embracing a new ethic and a new creed: "Let's roll."
Indeed.
I love our president.

Has it really only been four months? It seems like years.

Just watched the actual speech. The President's speechmaking abilities are so much better than when he was campaigning that there's just no comparison. Very well done.

The era of big government is back!

I was monitoring the speach on NBC (know thy enemy) and the signal went blank for a few seconds toward the end of the speach. Thanks to the above transcript, I determined that the missing part was:
"We've come to know truths that we will never question: Evil is real, and it must be opposed."
I'm trying to determine if it was a local problem or a network drop out.
Was anyone else watching the speach on an NBC affiliate?

For too long our culture has said, "If it feels good, do it." Now America is embracing a new ethic and a new creed: "Let's roll."The best part of the whole speech - the new ethic, and a not-so-veiled slap in the face to the Clintons!

Bush was strong, decisive and direct. I thought his body language was better than in speeches past. He mentioned God a few times and stating that he supports faith-based initiative groups. Something we never heard in a State of the Union Address in eight years. He showed his admiration, love and respect for his wife when he mentioned Laura towards the end of the speech. She is a class act.
Overall it was a great speech and Bush's goals on fighting this war, homeland security and our solution to overcome this current economic struggle are ideas I support.
The democratic response by House Minority Leader Dick Gephardt was feeble at best.
Lets Roll.
