As to your question...We live in Olympia, Washington, which is about 60 miles south of Seattle...we have been here for 18 yrs. and love it...we were stationed at Ft Lewis Washington, and after the hubby left the military, we decided to stay here, and make it our home...
Before that, we lived in North Carolina, for five years, where the hubby was stationed at Ft. Bragg...we love our time in the south also...living in the south is almost like living in a different world...but we absolutely loved our time there...before that both my husband and myself had been born and raised in Chicago, married there, and had our two boys, before we set out in a military life...
So we have lived in mainly those three places, each one distinct, with its own charm...no matter where I live, or where I travel to, I never try to criticize a place...we always look for the good in the different places we live in or visit, and we always find great things about the place...
In Oregon the lingo is odd: All cars/trucks are rigs; all animals are critters; all dogs are good 'lil dudes. Cats are infra dig, I guess.
