I already knew this. I see it every time I fry a intel chip! Makes green flames!

BTW! If you don't do it right you can rest assured that you will be informed more than once. Looks ok to me!

And how often do you fry them? I've sometimes hooked a chip's power connections backward, but I've never actually blown one up. :)

Wonder what effect it will have on detection machines at air ports?

Gotta wonder if the US might have this stuff sitting in sensitive spots .... like .. the encryption chips on a P-3 Orion perhaps ?

Ya Done Fine!
Something tells me, however, that those Freepers who know what "Vihtavuori" is and how to pronounce it will be drawn to this post.

"gunpowder, which is finely ground carbon mixed with potassium nitrate and sulfur." That's black powder -- used until about 1900.
Modern gunpowder is made by soaking cellulose - like cotton - in nitric acid to form nitrocellulose.

I am a Senior MEMS Process Engineer. I am currently between jobs. Does any FReeper know of an opening?
If so please contact me by FReepmail.
Thanks </shameless personal plug>

Wonder what effect it will have on detection machines at air ports? Could use it to test the swab thingies they use on the outside of your carry-on bags. Or mabye as a separate stage before or after the x-ray machine?

Gotta wonder if the US might have this stuff sitting in sensitive spots .... like .. the encryption chips on a P-3 Orion perhaps ? If not, they should. As noted in the article, it would be handy for making chips impossible to reverse-engineer, if you could integrate it (and an independent battery) into the packaging. Mabye make it explode on opening of the packaging?
