WTC Flag Raising Petition Surpasses 100,000 signatures in Eleven Days.
Plans to Deliver Signatures to New York City Officials being Developed.

Emmett, Idaho

The national online petition to the City of New York and the New York City Fire Department protesting the proposal for an altered Ground Zero Flag Raising Statue and petitioning for an historically accurate memorial has now gathered over 100,000 signatures.

The petition was started on the internet on January 15th to supplement a local petition initiated by the firefighters themselves. The online petition is open to all American citizens and to any interested foreign citizens since many citizens of many nations were killed by the terrorists on 911, and since the terrorist threat is a world-wide threat.

The City of New York has announced that they have shelved the altered statue ... but they have also announced that they are considering other options for a memorial. The online petition effort will therefore continue according to the 2nd point in the petition until such time that the final plans are announced and until those plans propose an historically accurate memorial that is not beholden to, or driven by, any political agenda whatsoever. We urge anyone supporting this effort to end revisionism and political correctness as it pertains to 911 to inform others by email, by phone, by conversation, by mail ... however possible ... asking them to sign the petition and to spread the word in a like manner for those other people to also sign the petition at:

There are plans being developed to deliver the first 100,000 signatures to City Hall in New York City at the earliest possible date. Those plans call for the delivery to occur with FDNY personnel there who support the aims of this petition, along with as many personnel from other Fire Departments and other citizens from around the country as can arrange to be there. These plans will be announced in more detail as they are finalized through email chains and press releases and on message boards and online sites like:

When those 100,000 signatures are delivered, it will be made clear that many hundreds of thousands more will be forthcoming and will also be delivered to New York City Hall as they are gathered.

The revision of historical record for political purposes , for "artistic" purposes or any other purpose is an anti-thesis of true liberty. It is the type of activity that cultures and nations have done to deceive their citizens in the past and has heralded the downfall of those cultures and nations. In recent history names like Stalin, Hitler and Mao are associated with such activities. NEVER in America. Liberty and free will choices must be based on accurate and true information for them to have any meaning. Later generations need to look at our memorials and have complete faith and confidence in their accuracy and fidelity. We the people, signing and promoting this petition effort, intend to have that critical principle applied to the horrific events of 911.

Those horrific events heralded in a new era of unity that supercedes such politically correct and politically motivated agendas. May we never forget! May we always remember and honor those who died with the truth and with a commitment to insure that the record is held inviolate, that we stamp out such revisionism and political correctness from amongst us as it pertains to any event associated with 911.

We must always remember and never forget those horrific events, or the heroic actions. Attempts like this only serve to diminish what happened and insure we cannot remember accurately. Jeff freep mailed me, that the cost of binding the 100,000 signatures and to have two back up copies will be about $2,750. I would add $250 for shipping, taxes and misc. costs. So we are looking at an investment in our history for the simple cost of $3,000.

Apparently the people who handle the petition can have it bound.

That makes a lot sense. That way it will be professionally bound, and someone's printers will be saved and a lot of ink cartridges. This will free Jeff to do other tasks with this petition!

Step one, we need to raise $3,000 for the binding of this land mark petition to halt and reverse left wind revisionists from messing with our history!

If 100 of us mail Jeff a check for $30, that will handle this part of our investment in maintaining our history not the PC revisionist history.

That will cover getting the 100K signatures printed and then getting two bound copies made from the master that we can then get to NYC one way or another.

I know this sounds like a lot, and I wish I could pay for it all myself. I did pay for five copies of ten thousand signatures with Klamath and they were about 75.00 per copy after I had spent about 14-16 hours printing off the master from my computer at home using an HP inkjet ... here we have ten times that number to print and to bind.

Was Rush Limbaugh included in that 200? Do we know how to contact Mike Moran to tell him how this is going?

I see you're talking about 2 back-up copies of the petition. Considering the costs and the eventual size of this petition, do you think electronic or CD back up might be more efficient? I'd rather use the money for a plane ticket for you to deliver it.

I think for initial impact, that the original 100,000 signatures bound up by a professional binder would have greater visual impact than a CD.

However, a CD could be used as a alternative and for all future signatures!

from the FDNY Uniformed Firefighters Association

The September 11 attacks on America were a tragedy of unimaginable proportions. However, during this terrible time, we have seen the absolute best that humanity can offer.

A heartfelt thank you to all New York City Firefighters and Fire Marshals for your tireless rescue and recovery efforts at the site of the September 11 attack and your extraordinary patience and understanding during these difficult times. In the face of a devastating loss, you upheld the highest traditions of our 125 year history. As others fled, you moved directly towards the danger Without your heroism in the face of horror, many more lives would have been lost. We are extremely proud and grateful for your dedication as well as the efforts of the many retired firefighters who have worked with you.

We also sincerely thank the thousands of others from EMS, FDNY Dispatchers, NYPD, Port Authority Police, the United States Military, Sanitation, the medical profession, iron workers, construction workers, electricians, steamfitters, carpenters, operating engineers, truck drivers, other law enforcement and emergency workers from all over the world, as well as all ceremonial Personnel and the Fire Dept. Pipe Band for their unique offering of the real procedure for line-of-duty death tributes. In addition, Firefighters from all over the state, and country who volunteered to help (both paid & volunteer depts.) Your physical work, gallantry and spiritual support have served to sustain us during the tragedy, and provide a vivid example of what America should and can be.

We recognize the support of the International Association of Fire Fighters, which acted immediately to help the UFA and the UFOA to establish the 9-11 Relief Fund, providing prompt financial aid to our families in need.

We salute the staff and the hundreds of volunteers who have worked around the clock to handle the tremendous volume of mail and calls received daily.

Finally, we thank the thousands of people from the City of New York and all over the world who have provided financial, spiritual, and emotional support to our firefighters and their families.
