I wish Alan had waited a week or two and gotten a following before stirring up the liberal hive this bad.

He couldn't pass over the issue on the 29th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade. No way!

I'm just amazed this is on MSNBC ... with that said .. it was a good show

Agree on all points. Keyes was more into his rhythm tonight, and the show was excellent. About the conerns being expressed that the show will be pulled due to content and topic choice: I don't really get it. MSNBC would have to know exactly who and what they were getting when they gave Alan Keyes this show. His views have been extremely public, and he's never been shy about stating them without mincing words. So...why did MSNBC offer him a platform?

Richard, Go up and read #80 from jackliberty. I agree with it wholeheartedly.

The "common man" segment is pitiful. Common men are common because they talk about themselves. None of them answer questions or know how to debate. They just emote.

The best segment so far has been Jay Sekulow last night. Dobson was fine, but, while his segment was packed with information, it dragged.

I'm watching America Now with Jim Cramer and Larry Kudlow right now. It's snappy, there's been six guests, and there's point-counterpoint.

The successful cable shows have that, in spades.

Alan's going to have to bring on real opponents, or set up confrontations. He couldn't get any real hard-line pro-choicers tonight, apparently. It would have helped.

You can't let Alan get preachy. If he gets preachy, the show's dead.

Dobson said people are fined $25,000 if they destroy a bald eagle's egg, but nothing happens to them if they destroy a baby before its born ( something to that effect). An unborn bird's life is much more valuable than our unborn children. Sad.

I think his handling of the abortion discussion was terrific. If that demeanor was used to take that message to all possible venues, he would do wonders for the pro-life movement. He definitely did a great job with it.

Well said.

Cheers,

Richard F.

OK...he had to do it. But the tie in to the WTC is what they are going to use to get him. Lots of ways to approach the issue.

Oops ... I omitted part of this. It should have been ...

OK...he had to do it. But the tie in to the WTC is what they are going to use to get him. Lots of ways to approach the issue.

President Bush did the same thing in his Proclamation on the Sanctity of Life.

It works because it's true.

Cheers,

CNBC. Its on at 7 and 10 CST.

I catch it at 10 because I wouldn't miss O'Reilly.

It is really a very good, very watchable, and extremely interesting business show.

Better than Cavuto and Lou Dobbs, IMO.

MSNBC would have to know exactly who and what they were getting when they gave Alan Keyes this show.

Of corse they know.

Do you remember when Drudge quit Fox News because he was going to show the picture of the baby reaching out of his mother's womb, grasping the finger of the Doctor?

They said he couldn't show it, so he quit just before he was supposed to go on.

They were afraid he would talk about abortion.

I thought Alan did a great job of setting up the panel and then crushing them with thier previous thoughts on evil. Truely inspired. The first segment about N.Y though was really dull.

>As for choice of topics, IMHO, he should examine each ..

I learned long ago not to try to "manage" Dr. Keyes - he will do as his heart would tell him. Several years ago someone had remarked that there was a higher reason why so many talents were given to a single man - he has an intellect, a fire in his belly and the power to persuade - and his actions are set by the unshakeable moral compass.

They were afraid he would talk about abortion.

The Drudge firing certainly was strange.

I remember Pat Buchanan saying that Crossfire always got its best ratings when abortion was the topic.

You may think it was inspired, but you don't beat up guests on television, especially ordinary folks.

I don't think he beat them up at all; he just dominated them. Toward the end of the segment, he asked a couple of questions, and nobody wanted to answer because they were cowed.

GET RID OF THE COMMON MAN.

O'Reilly couldn't get name guests when he started, but, as he gained ratings, he's now getting the cream of the crop. Hell, he said tonight that he won't let Dershowitz on his show!

Keyes could do that, too, but he's got to let his guests talk, especially those he disagrees with.

BTW, I just got back from Washington DC and the March was great. The weather was amazing (around 60) and the turn out was great. Now if we can just get Bush to get proactive

Anyone else there?.

The Drudge firing certainly was strange.

He wasn't fired, he quit because they wouldn't let him show his picture.

Then, a few days later, Fox had a Special about the picture.
