George W. Bush is the vassal that every supposed conservative politico pours his/her brand of brew into. The true test of conservatism is whether an individual passes the Barry Goldwater test. Bush and his minions definitely fall short of that and the lower minions are particular to quaffing the Koolade. (The upper minions cheer the lower on as they gleefully pick the later's pockets).

Who needs to pass the "Barry Goldwater test"? Goldwater himself would have flunked his own test. In his later years, Barry moved so far to the left that he nearly "left" the GOP behind. His funeral was a non-Christian service for the most part. Goldwater in his later years attacked those who supported him in 1964. I would never hang up a picture of Goldwater in my office or home. He's a Republican we can now do without.

Vassals & brew? Quaffing? Minions? What are you referring to? A Monte Python skit?

Do your metaphors mean that people are supporting Bush but he is not a "Goldwater conservative" so they are "drinking koolaid"? What's your point?
