Warm puppies? Hey, all guys like warm puppies

Actually, I like mine straight from the broiler, piping hot!

Come on, you knew that had to be coming...

OK, I'm sorry... I said it, so FLAME OFF!

So I answered a few question and out pops Bloody Sam Roberts.

No one would be afraid of the Dread Pirate Wesley, for example? (grin)

My personality is hideously geeky, and I make my money doing the chemistry thing, so...

Don't suppose it matters if one of them is a really cool tattoo that carries a good message? Nah...I'm still doomed

Mine is a real mystery: I am the daughter of an Iwo Jima vet. My dad was a combat medic. He was wounded in action but he made it off "Sulfur Island", returned to my mother and his young daughter to eventually raise a family of five. I'm the youngest, and extremely proud of my dad, who was a man of tremendous integrity and humility. I chose my nick for the man I admire most. (I love you Dad!)

I used to be NoDemocratsIn2000, but I changed my handle to Tolerance Sucks Rocks in reaction to the Kensington, Marylandistan, "Santa Ban" last December. If you ask me to explain the previous handle, you either need bed rest or coffee.

I had been posting about once a month back in 98 and most of 99 under a different name (I have since forgotten it since I did'nt use it much), when another FReeper told me I was like the Unabomber, I show up every now and then, post a bomb, then disappear. I thought cool, a new name. Unfortunately I had a few cocktails that night and put an "I" instead of an "a", and so was born Uni-Poster.

I spent 10 years with a Civil War Artillery club.

Georgia Light Artilleryman since 1996. Recently joined Howell's Battery. They have a Napoleon. Most familiar with 3-inch Parrott Rifles.

A muzzle-loading piece from the 1860's is served by a detachment of seven cannoneers commanded by a Gunner. Each cannoneer has a specific duty to perform.

At the command LOAD, Cannoneer No. 4 inserts the lanyard into the ring of a primer, and stands in his position.

At the command READY, he steps in with his right foot, drops the tube into the vent, takes the lanyard in his right hand, moves to the rear so far as to keep the lanyard slack, but capable of being stretched, without altering his position, which should be clear of the wheel, left foot broken to the left and rear.

At the command FIRE, as soon as No. 3 is clear of the wheel No. 4 pulls the lanyard briskly and firmly, passing the hand, back up, in a downward direction to the rear, so as to keep the lanyard hook from flying back in the direction of the face.

Translated, he be da man what pull da string what make da gun go boom.

My pirate name is Bloody James Flint Every pirate lives for something different. For some, it's the open sea. For others (the masochists), it's the food. For you, it's definitely the fighting. Like the rock flint, you're hard and sharp. But, also like flint, you're easily chipped, and sparky. Arr!

I love hard rock and heavy metal, and one of my favorite bands is Rainbow. I took the name of their classic album Rainbow Rising for my screen name because I wanted something that sounded strong and positive. I happened to be listening to the album at the time I was deciding what to call myself, and everything just fell into place.

Also, I really like the album cover!

I originally came up with "Al N. Smithee" -- chosen to reflect my desire for anonymity -- for the short-lived Drudge Bulletin Board, which was up for less than a week in February 1998.

The BB was based on Ultimate BB, and at the time -- before Matt's Fox News Channel show, his radio deal, and his lucrative banner ads -- Drudge Report would be overwhelmed when a major story broke. When the site would return, it would take forever to get a response on the BB link. One time, I wasn't able to log back in the BB as "Al N. Smithee," so I signed up again as "L.N. Smithee."

I was in the midst of finishing a thread based on Dr. Bernard Lewinsky's first interview with Barbara Walters -- the one in which he blamed Ken Starr for ruining his daughter's life, refusing to criticize Clinton -- when Drudge apparently decided to end his BB. Having had a transcript and commentary ready to go, I had nowhere to put it other than alt.fan.rush-limbaugh, which was always infested with profane and obscene trolls.

I decided later to post the article to Free Republic, where I registered as "L.N. Smithee." The rest is history.

BTW, that thread is still here at FR under the title "The Deafening Silence of Monica's Father."

Back in the 70's was a Jerry Jeff Walker fan and always liked RedNeck Mother

REDNECK MOTHER
(as performed by Jerry Jeff Walker)

He was born in West Virginia,
His wife's name's Betty Lou Thelma Liz

And he's not responsible for what he's doing

'Cause his mother made him what he is.

Up against the wall Redneck Mother,

Mother, who has raised her son so well.

He's thirty-four and drinking in a honky-tonk.

Just kicking hippies asses and raising hell.

Sure does like his Falstaff beer,
Likes to chase it down with that Wild Turkey liquor;
Drives a fifty-seven GMC pickup truck;
He's got a gun rack; "Goat ropers need love, too" sticker

Well,
M is for the mud flaps you give me for my pickup truck
O is for the Oil I put on my hair
T is for T-bird
H is for Haggard
E is for eggs, and
R is for REDNECK.

When Princess Di crashed, I got a ton of hate mail.

From what I've seen, half of them would applaud such a name.
