In the Lord's scheme of things, until he came along, mine were, and are still, as 'filthy rags', without His Son. If, and I think it is, W's heart is right, what others intend for evil, God will use for good. "W's fruits" are far from ripe, IMHO.
We may be due for 40 years of wandering in the dessert, or a good butt-kicking by our enemies. On what basis does America deserve victory any longer, doubtful that our current version of the 'moral high ground' covers it with the Lord?
Post-modern moral relativism, in ALL things. Isn't it grand? NOT. Bin Laden's a 'freedom fighter', not an 'evil doer'. 'WE' are the 'Great Satan', not he. WHO be the Judge? Tommy Daschle? Gov. 'Grayout'? Where there is no truth, there can only be 'opinion'. 'Opinion' not shared is a lie in the ears of the receiver. We, as a nation, had better start agreeing on something as foundational truth real quick, hogwaller, or expect to be serving other gods, or men that think they are.
I feel for ya. If you don't understand the seeds President Bush is sowing, right out of the barn, as it were, if you cannot hear our President when he says 'love your neighbor', walk across the street and help a fellow human being who is shut-in or in need of your help', or 'hug your child and tell him or her everyday that you love um', if you cannot understand how taxes are crushing us on a personal level as well as causing our economy to flail, if you cannot understand that we must never be beholden to foreign sources as deeply as we are now considering energy needs, if you cannot see the love our President models for us through his relationships with others, other leaders, his family, his enemys on the hill and yes, even his beloved pets, then you, my friend, are not acquainted with good character.
And if you are so desparate for something negative to pin on our President, if you are so intent on discovering fraud or abuse, or buddy buddy relationships that helped out a crummy, lying company like ENRON, then why not look to whom we KNOW helped Enron? WE already KNOW the Bush administration, on THREE LEVELS, refused to use our TAX DOLLARS to bail out Enron. This would have already been a done deal in the clinton administration-just look at the HEDGE FUNDS he used OUR MONEY to bail out that went bankrupt during his reign of terror----and we never really HEARD MUCH about that, did we?
As for the energy group---MY GOSH hogwaller-----those meetings occurred BEFORE the issue of ENRON was even on the table and OF COURSE Lay would have been present.....his company, ENRON, was one of the THREE largest movers of energy (middle man) and OF COURSE his expertise would have been encouraged and listened too. SO WHAT? IT turns out he was BAD NEWS! But THANK GOD the Bush administration is developing an ENERGY POLICY that will FREE US FROM THE CHAINS of middle eastern creeps who could hold us hostage due to our dependency-and have considering price inflations in the past.
Aren't you just damn GLAD that our President and his VP are trying to develop an energy policy that will PROTECT our nation? What is wrong with you? Are you so quick to downgrade a president because some sneaky, unethical, lying human being as the head of a company that crashed and burned and hurt its employees has been caught? Aren't YOU GLAD that the Bush administration is NOT BAILING ENRON OUT? Aren't you GLAD that CHENEY if formulating an energy policy? WHO BETTER than a man experienced with the business? Would you prefer algore? The people I know with good character have the ability to look at the entire picture and draw superior conclusions based on evidence, not innuendo.
