Thanks, MUD, for hopeful answers. By the time they are identified for what they are they will hide their tails and morph into something even more patatable to the sheep. You are right, impeachment did bring out the true American spirit that morality does matter and this is one of Bush's strengths. I'm afraid you might be underestimating this Enron deal because in the long run it doesn't even matter if Bush is stained. The media has blown this way out of proportion so far. I think it's going to be difficult to counter the argument that Bush didn't act in time. He really isn't getting the message out now very decisively either but deserves restraint because our troops are in danger, that fact is lost on the media. </>rant<>

I don't support any party, Slim. And you should know by now that I certainly do not sit on my hands. I've been talking to my state Senator and my Delegate since the session started. I got John Watkins to explain to me why he's asking for a thumbprint on driver's licenses and also got him to promise to withdraw his bill if it were attacked by amendment. He wouldn't go for withdrawing it as is.

We have work to do in the legislature. Getting anything done is really going to require our delegates and senators to go against their party leadership. The GOP is an absolute mess. With the national leadership they have, it can only get worse.

Maybe they are laying in the cut, getting their ducks in a row to actually go after Clinton and MacAuliffe, but it'll have to happen for me to believe it. IMHO, "John Ashcroft" is on Probation, and I'd personally love to see him replaced by Rudy Guiliani and Go Fer the Gusto. This morning I awoke to find a freepmail from one, "1 Fellow Freeper"

He wrote to tell me he'd not be online for a few days.
His Father had died only hours before; & he was with him when he passed.
He hurt so much.
Suppose we could find a moment sometime in our day to say a small prayer that 1FF's Dad's soul makes that journey into His loving arm & Kingdom, without delay?
~And nearly as important that the prayer serve to let our friend 1FF that he will not be alone in spirit, during this time of profound greif?
Tell anyone you might know who knew 1FF what happened; as I'm not sure if he told anyone else?
Through his sorrow & deep pain he maintained his pride, you see.
What a man 1FF really is.
I'm certain he learned that virtue from the Father he just lost, too.
Makes such a loss especially hurtful losing a life mentor of that caliber.
