There're times when I wished Jim Robinson would really go full-bore & capitalize on his dream, FreeRepublic.
How?
I dunno; maybe entering into a variety of agreements with various wholesalers whereby he'd get a kickback on conservative-oriented products & services from A to Z offered right here; & I mean everything. Music-entertainment-appliances-clothing- you name it. IF it passes the FR litmus test of being GOOD for the membership?
It would be found in either a cyber store here; or, through a hyper-link to the vender.
Because I'd know whatever the merchandise I needed, it'd come to me with the, "FreeRepublic Seal of Approval." An ideological GoodHouseKeeping, if you will?
Other entities could stock & ship the items -- whatever said items might be; thereby our founder is liable to ZERO risk, the vendor makes their fair profit, & our founder, his.
I & others like me would then always have a way of really putting our money where our mouth are; beyond the periodic fundraisers.
Knowing our founder was being taken care of financially & some Limosine Liberal SOB was going to be HURT would be too sweet a deal to pass up.
Our founder should be able to enjoy life the way he deserves to; & knowing that would be a real treat -- their little piece of the American Dream -- & a real thank you from thousands of us.
Naturally, what a great example that'd set & encouragement for others to take a CHANCE on doing something right, and old fashioned.
But, whadda I know; presumably Jim's done OK without any baloney in the way of advise from me & I suspect (& pray) he continues to.

Fine with me...Limbaugh's done extremely well promoting a limited number of products that he seems to stand behind, and I personally don't believe it's reduced his credibility one iota when I hear him going overboard about his love fer DietSchnapple Peach Iced Tea.
