This is all part and parcel to Kwanzaa. You see this pledge is often said to the black nationalist flag during Kwanzaa. The black nationalist flag - the red, black, and green - is an integral part of the Kwanzaa celebration - as are those colors. In Kwanzaa the flag is known as the Bendera and its pledge is given each night. The colors are supposed to be used in all Kwanzaa decorations, etc.
Dakotaman has already quoted this, but I will quote it again. The Melanet Kwanzaa Information Center says that the colors of black nationalism, represented on the flag, mean:
The Red, or the blood, stands as the top of all things. We lost our land through blood; and we cannot gain it except through blood. We must redeem our lives through the blood. Without the shedding of blood there can be no redemption of this race. However, the bloodshed and sorrow will not last always. The Red significantly stands in our flag as a reminder of the truth of history, and that men must gain and keep their liberty, even at the risk of bloodshed. The Black is in the middle. The Black man in this hemisphere has yet to obtain land which is represented by the Green. The acquisition of land is the highest and noblest aspiration for the Black man on this continent, since without land there can be no freedom, justice, independence, or equality.
This is a despicable and destructive racist philosophy to be teaching children. And people wonder why I homeschool mine...
Works for me! How about 'Love Canal?' No, wait, they can have the Painted Desert.
North Dakota! I hear they have problems with tourists anyway and are considering changing their name to Dakota. Think the blacks would like North Dakota.
The sure aren't going to want Georgia, are they?
Shalom.
Works for me. As long as that Nation is outside of the US.
BTW, the leaders of this school district can be among the first with Jackson, Sharpton, et.all.
If it does, this just might be covered.

WELCOME from Superintendent Gloria Griffin
Welcome to the Millwood Public School District Website. Millwood - the school district on the hill! Millwood the school district on the rise! Millwood - the home of the mighty Falcons! The Millwood Public School District is a wonderful place for students to learn and this website provides you with the opportunity to learn more about us.
The website is for access to information on the district, the schools, the human resource division, and parent activities. We plan to improve continuously its offerings, so if you have comments or ideas about this site please utilize the e-mail links provided to forward your suggestions to us. We hope to make this a useful site for parents and community members, teachers, students, alumni and people wanting to learn about our school system and community.
The Millwood Public School District is located in northeast Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and has an enrollment of approximately 1050 students in grades Pre- kindergarten through 12. The district was formed in 1898 and has graduated many outstanding students. All decisions are weighed on the scale of benefits to students. With a mission to prepare all students academically and socially for lifelong learning and achievement, the elementary school has a full day kindergarten; Spanish instruction in grades K-5; certified, full time music; physical education; and counselor. Instrumental music instruction is available after school and continues in the middle school and high school.
The district and high school have received state and national recognition for exemplary programs. Millwood students excel in the classroom and the community. Millwood High School provides a range of academic and athletic opportunities outside of the regular school day. In each Millwood school, staff members and parents are committed to working together to help students reach the outer-limits of their abilities from pre-kindergarten through graduation. Please browse through the Millwood Public School District site for more information on the people and programs that make Millwood a very special place to learn and live.

There is a page within my county's public school website that was hacked(cracked for the purists) with a text change and stayed that way for weeks until someone in authority was notified.
I find this disgusting and something the people of OK should think about the next time they go to the polls and elect Sandy Garrett, the Democrat State Superintendent, again!
