I haven't heard about a gay ambassador escorting his male partner to Marine Ball except via this Family Research Council press release...

Sorry, but I'm not surprised that the left-leaning media wouldn't run such a story. Of course it is only going to be brought to light by an organization that gives a crap about morality.

...a press release which also tries to imply that "Romania" is incensed about this guy...

Actually, it suggested that assigning the guy to Romania, being a traditionally conservative Orthodox Christian nation (despite decades of atheist oppression) was a poor choice. I concur. Send him to Sweden where the local officials would probably cheerfully engage him in some partner-swapping.

...when four, unnamed individuals are quoted in the story.

So, how many individuals would they have to quote? First of all, the story relates the known fact that Romania modified its laws to kowtow to the EU. People who publicly speak out would be in trouble with the folks who are working to join the EU. Remember, democracy is a very new and fragile thing over there. The Army, the Police, and the criminals are the only folks capable of armed defense. How brace would you be if speaking the wrong words would cost your entire family their livelihoods?

Second, the homo agenda is particularly virulent when it comes to publicly attacking any who dare question their motives. I don't blame the four for only speaking on the condition of anonimity.

If four anonymous individuals in Maryland said that you were a nuisance to the entire state for some reason or another and wanted you to move, would you take that as sufficient evidence of soma malfeasance on your part and start packing your bags?

Or would you want further evidence?

I'm sorry, but the mainstream press would LOVE to make a big deal out of the narrowness of a bunch of people in a supposedly Christian country like Romania.

The FRC has its antenna up for things like this, and would have published this story if all it could find was ONE individual who objected to Guest's behavior.

If the groundswell grows, I suspect Guest will be gone.

My guess is that 98% of Romania doesn't even know who the American Ambassador to Romania is.
