Ailing Enron Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection
Enron is likely to try to isolate its trading operations as a new business, with additional investments from its leading banks, J.P. Morgan Chase and Citigroup. <Enron reported in its court filing yesterday that Citigroup's Citibank unit is its largest unsecured creditor, with two loans totaling $3 billion.

After filing banckruptcy the creditors are essentially in control, not management. If Ashcroft excuses himself because of his relationship with those who used to be in control then I think its even more important for Lieberman to recuse himself because he has a relationship with those who are presently in control.
That's exactly the point there is no wrongdoing on Bush's part, yet a number of media organizations have been carry water for the Democrats by saying such things as the following clipped from the Washington Times:
"Enron's dealings [are] fast becoming the biggest potential embarrassment the Bush administration has faced," a story in the Boston Globe read.
"These revelations helped fan what was already a major embarrassment for the Bush administration into a political firestorm," the Houston Chronicle reported.
MSNBC's anchorman Brian Williams, in his newscast, referred to Enron as "a major preoccupation, if not a danger, for the Bush White House."
Then, there was Bill Press, the liberal co-host of CNN's "Crossfire," who called the Enron case worse than Whitewater. "Enron makes Whitewater look like peanuts," he wrote in his syndicated column. "
Well, the point is, if taking a campaign contribution make one guilty then everyone that took one is guilty.

The Rat fishing expedition continues to produce a stanky catch.
Unfortunately our wonderful non-biased media refuses to inform America of the tight relationship which, because of Enron, resulted with Lippo, Chinese Liberation, Huang... "Deals" were made to build new plants in other countries, in otherwords you want the $50 million, build the damn thing. And the money flowed.
Joe, tell us how disgraceful Bush has handled his situation, how much more did he receive than you? Per campaign budget, how do the percentages compare?
You'd need very specific info.
What I'd suggest is the names of the Company and approximate date started, and the guys name that started it. From that we can take it to Sec. State sites, Edgar, various business sites, etc. Maybe a Lexis-Nexis access poster will dig a bit too.
BTW: my bet is that our president will yet again amaze his countrymen and the world by leading the charge to bring the miscreants in this case to justice. Onward!
The worst thing that is going to erupt from all of this is that we are going to have to listen to McCain beat his gums, again, about CFR.
