It bothers me that news media has already forgotten; that everything is sanitised if it is real, but blood and guts is ok for movies and tele.
It is almost as if the media wants us to forget.

I have a WTC folder on my desktop with pics and stories and such and I will never, ever forget what happened on that day. Glad to see many feel the same...
Yeah, what really makes me angry is the fact that in the United States our Big Media filters out so much stuff that is broadcast all over the world and we are supposed to be the 'free' ones.

WHEN HEZBOLLAH: attacked the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut in 1983 that killed 241 Americans, I expected a war.
WHEN OSAMA BIN LADEN: declared a holy war against the US, I thought, what an idiot!
WHEN OSAMA BIN LADEN: Bombed the World Trade center in 1993 (the first time), that killed 6 people and wounded over 1000, I cringed and thanked god it wasn't worse and knew that it could be.
WHEN OSAMA BIN LADEN: bombed the Jewish cultural center in Argentina in 1994 that killed 95 people, I wasn't aware of it.
WHEN OSAMA BIN LADEN: Admitted to the 1995 bombing in Riyadh that killed 5 US servicemen, I thought, let's hunt that bastard down.
WHEN OSAMA BIN LADEN: Was named in the June 25, 1996, terrorist truck bombing in Dhahran that killed 19 U.S. airmen, I wondered why we hadn't done anything to this bastard yet.
WHEN OSAMA BIN LADEN: bombed the U.S. Embassies in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania in 1998, I thought it was an outrage and wondered again why we hadn't done anything.
WHEN WE RETALIATED WITH A FEW CRUISE MISSLES: I Thought is that it? WTF? WHO THE HELL IS RUNNING THIS SHOW!
WHEN OSAMA BIN LADEN: Had his terrorists attack the USS Cole (DDG-57) while it was refueling in port in Yemen on October 12, 2000. 17 sailors were killed and over 30 were injured in the bombing, I thought and expected that we should declare war and privately wondered what it would take to do that?
WHEN OSAMA BIN LADEN: Was prevented from a plot to hijack 12 planes in one day over the pacific, and blow them up, I thought boy are they lucky they caught that one. But looking into how they "caught" them, I relized they were really, really, really, lucky and the FBI had nothing to do with it.
WHEN OSAMA BIN LADEN: This past February, renewed his threat of a "jihad" or holy war against the U.S. and, in speaking to an Arabic newspaper, bin Laden said, "We had thought that the Riyadh and al-Khobar blasts were a sufficient signal to sensible U.S. decision-makers to avert a real battle between the Islamic nation and U.S. forces, but it seems that they did not understand the signal." I thought to myself this guy is right, what does he have to do get us to fight!
WHEN OSAMA BIN LADEN: Sent his henchmen to fly airplanes into the Word Trade Center and THEN fly an airplane into the pentagon. I thought, we will certainly delare war now.
It's nice that you are finally awake to this. We still haven't declared war.
IMO, You could build a similar time line with China and russia, but they are our 'friends' you have forgotten and Time will tell...
I am sorry it had to hit home for you to take notice and I am sorry for the loss of your friend. We are fortunate it wasn't worse, it certianly could have been and we know it was designed to be.
