No heartbreak here.
Gee, wasn't he one of the strong arms for the democrap party? My God, they're dropping like flies, aren't they?
The clintoons have a way of bringing everyone around them down with them.
Wonder who'll be dropping next.
Keep dropping. I like it!

He has lost his cover: he could do anything when the man in the White House was doing worse!

Agreed, no one dared touch Jesse while he was so close to clinton.

He was, after all, x42's "spiritual advisor".

now has 'p-diddy' perform for him!
typical lib flip/flop!

"The extra-marital affair and baby forfeited Jackson's moral leadership," Wallace said. "That is not the behavior of a Christian minister."

This brings to mind a question that has bothered me for some time: Has Jesse Jackson ever been a "Christian minister"? I mean a real one, with a church and congregation.

Is he truly a Reverend, or does he just play one on TV?

I think we should start with the idea that all children who enter our school system must speak our language, if they don't know it, when entering, they can learn it, children are like little damp sponges, they pick up anything and everything, therefore if they don't speak our English, they will learn.

You are right. Every child on the planet learns at least one language. Human brains are ready for learning language in childhood and for school systems to deny children the opportunity to participate in English is wrong, as well as VERY counterproductive.

Jesse is a publicity whore. This is an attempt for people to feel sorry for him and donate mo money.

"It's basically cry racism and shake the money tree, " Horowitz told CNSNews.com

It used to be.. Jesse Jackson the pied piper leading unsuspecting people into his hidden-agenda, hate-filled cesspool with a lamestream media cheering him on to beat the band. ...Apparently things are changing for the better.

..Let's just say that Jesse priced the black underclass out of the market..

Which has long been my main problem with him- he's got nothing for the blacks who need it the most. Even his old "I am somebody," "Up with hope" schtick would be something but he abandoned that to run for office. I lost respect for him a loooonnng time ago.

Who was he defending in Decatur?

A bunch of high school hoodlums started a rumble (pushing, shoving, punching) in the stands at a football game in which several people were injured. The punks were arrested, charged and sentenced. I don't recall the exact sentencing, but part of the sentence included their attending an alternative school, I believe.

Jackson came riding to the rescue charging racism--the punks did nothing wrong and should not be disciplined, he claimed.

A few days later, a videotape taken from the opposing stands surfaced proving the culpability of the punks. The video was widely shown on the cable networks. At that point, you'd have thought Jackson would have backed off, but he didn't. Despite the fact that a large majority of blacks, inc. those on the city council, in Decatur fully supported the police and court actions, did nothing to deter Jackson, who proceeded to bus his supporters from the Chicago area into Decatur for demonstrations. Jackson and a few others were arrested because they did not disperse when ordered by the police after things got a bit ugly.

Jackson began to see the light--that his bullying tactics were not working in Decatur. They told him to get lost and mind his own business. Eventually, he did.

Those are most of the details as I remember them.

Speaking of Jesse and Enron...

Jackson says coalition wants role in energy deal

Activist Jesse Jackson says the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition intends to be a part of the regulatory process leading to the closing of the Enron-Dynegy deal.

The organization, which he founded, owns Enron stock and shares in several other large Houston-based energy firms.

"Dynegy needs our participation to get approval," Jackson said Monday.

The organization's interest in the acquisition of Enron by Dynegy is in assuring minority inclusion in any possible spinoffs, employment, contract commitments and EEOC rulings.

Jackson is here for the first annual energy summit conducted by the Houston bureau of the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition Wall Street Project. The summit continues today in the Hyatt Regency downtown.

Those companies played a role in this conference that suggests they are in touch with Jackson already. On Monday he praised Enron head Ken Lay's integrity although the Enron executive is on the other end of the political spectrum.

Lay and Dynegy's chief executive officer, Chuck Watson, would have been at the group's energy summit if it weren't for the announcement last week that turned everything topsy-turvy, Jackson said.

The coalition opened its Houston bureau in May on Smith Street so it can do research, go to annual meetings and distribute information, Jackson said.

Protests and boycotts are not part of the plan, said William-Paul Thomas, the bureau chief here.

The Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, which Jackson heads, has taken an interest in energy and Houston in particular, as demonstrated by his appearance at the Offshore Technology Conference here early this year.

Blacks and Hispanics have been locked out of employment, upper-level management and contracts, Jackson said.

Jackson lamented the lack of emphasis on energy security now that the nation's attention has turned to terrorists and anthrax.

He also took the opportunity, in an interview, to criticize President Bush's plans for stimulating the economy from the top down, with a tax plan that will benefit large corporations to the tune of billions of dollars.

"It must be bottom up," Jackson said.

One-third of Rainbow/PUSH Coalition's idea for economic stimulation is travel vouchers, worth $1,000 each and good for up to six months.

This would help employment in the hard-hit travel and vacation industries during the holiday season, he said.

On Monday he praised Enron head Ken Lay's integrity although the Enron executive is on the other end of the political spectrum.

That can't be good.
