Hillary Clinton will be asking the questions concerning "document destruction", as she has more experience than anyone in the District of Criminals. Ted Kennedy will be there to make sure everyone has enough water.

...thousands of documents relating to the former energy giant were destroyed ..So? The shredding machines at the Rose Law Firm ran day and night for two weeks as the Whitewatergate investigation got under way...missing documents don't prove a thing.......

Joseph W. Sutton, president of Enron, was one of those scheduled to be on Ron Brown's fatal flight in 1996 who managed to miss the flight.

This will be another BCCI deal. It will hurt nobody. It is a bipartisan scandal both parties have too many members who would be hurt by any real investigation or in-depth disclosure. The Democrats will make some noise but there will be no serious attempt to get to the bottom of this.

Both parties will agree to bail out the employees who lost their pensions. And that will be the end of it.

Bush said Thursday that he was unaware of Enron's financial problems despite his political alliance with Lay...

Now it's become an "alliance." Next, a conspiracy? We report, we decide.

In the early 1990s, Enron struck several deals to build and operate power plants in the Philippines, including a small plant in Subic Bay abandoned by the US military. In those deals, according to a 1995 article in Inter Press Service, Enron was aided by US Ambassador Frank Wisner Jr and officials from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), who "provided Enron with key data on the risks of the project and strategies of possible competitors".

Wisner, who was US ambassador to India when Enron became involved in the Dabhol project, was appointed to the Enron board of directors in 1997. Wisner, as many historians of US intelligence know, is the son of the infamous Frank Wisner Sr, who was a top CIA operative until he committed suicide in 1965. He distinguished himself in two US-supported coups in the 1950s that later came back to haunt US diplomacy: the overthrow of the Arbenz government in Guatemala and the Mossadeq government in Iran.

Any and all other countries should have to wait until Lay and his friends have served each of their federal and state sentences before they are handed over to other countries. Hopefully, these guys will get so much time here that that day will never come.
