White Firefighters Who Raised Flag at WTC depicted "racially diverse" in New Statue

The thing that always strikes me about stories like this is that if 3 'minority" firefighters had been free at that particular moment, and raised the flag, creating the picture that circulated around the world; changing their race in a statue would have been unthinkable. Dissing whites to enhance minorities is ok. Just don't ever try it the other way around (sarcasm)

True about the FDR statue...but did you know that they eliminated his cigarette? FDR was a chain smoker and the sculptor wanted to show him with his characteristic cigarette holder, but NO! The nanny state decided that some moron might see it and decide to take up smoking. Trust me: history books will be coming out in which all historic figures who smoked will have their cigars/cigarettes/pipes airbrushed out. Old movies, too.

This is an absolute outrage! This statue is a memorial dedicated to a SPECIFIC ACT...three WHITE firefighters, potbellies and all, raising an American flag at Ground Zero. We KNOW their identities, and those who designed the statue should reflect those identities as best they can. Why don't the PC bast*rds behind this just SPIT in the faces of the firefighters, as well? Which of the WHITE firefighters was represented in the statue, to the EXCLUSION of the other two? Any ideas? We all know full well that if the firefighters had been other than white, the sculptors would have gotten the details accurate right down to the wart on their nose, if such existed. Just once, I'd like a DOSE of REALITY! Destroy this statue, fire anyone involved with this offensive decision, and start over with a statue depicting the TRUE IDENTITIES of those who raised the flag. Want to construct a memorial dedicated to the different ethnicities/sex of those involved in rescue efforts? Fine...go for it. But don't you DARE insult the integrity of the fine men who raised that flag. Get this to Rush, Sean Hannity, Jim Quinn, Gordon Liddy, and ESPECIALLY Michael Savage! Don't let this stand! This point about individuals acting to raise the flag is right on. The problem is that our society is no longer a society of individuals - we are society of ingroups and outgroups. This whole "us and them" thing is apparently being institutionalized by the NYFD, among the countless other companies and organizations caught up in the same after wrangling the PC movement.

Had the three fire fighters been back, they would be depicted as black, it is now obvious that our leaders are at war with white America. How does it feel non white America to be given credit when no credit is deserved?
