I noticed how pleased Kennedy seemed with the praise Bush heaped on him. Despite what we think of him, Kennedy is human and responds to flattery. Also a President should be the president of everyone not compromising conservative values but still uniting the country. We got used to a very dividing president for 8 years who with his wife waged war on the right even to the point of killing people in Waco they labeled as right wingers to prove he could win.

Exactly. Kennedy was also heaping praise on Bush....and all the while I kept thinking about Tommy Daschle watching it all and seeing his poorly timed offensive against Bush being systematically and publically diffused.

That dumb bumbling spoiled drunk Bush has out-smarted Daschle once again!
