I know teachers who refuse to pay in to their unions..thus, they aren't members of the NEA. I admire them for that. ;o)
The NEA, in my opinion, doesn't have the interest of the children at heart. Rather, lining their own pockets and promoting a socialistic agenda is paramount.
I should add, however, that many public school teachers I know have the best interest of the kiddos at heart. Sure, there are some bum teachers but I'm thankful for the ones who truly love to teach and do it well.
