I am from California, and I learned to speak Spanish. We lost the war of the reconquista here. Now we are fighting a war for the hearts and minds of the Hispanics...and not simply to the Republican cause, but to the cause of American ideals, because, like it or not, the Hispanics will decide if America remains American.

That's the gritty reality. And we can't win them over to believing in American ideals if we don't like them, want them to leave, and don't embrace them.
