It is really amazing that you folks can go around referring to a quote without reading it. I will just point out you use of the word if. IF the GOP loses. Not the GOP will lose in November, but IF it loses in November. This is your quote and your phrase, and it makes all of your references to this quote, on this thread and others a lie. I might say a BIG lie. Even a Joseph Goebbels' style BIG lie.
Not to mention calling him Bush-lite on the radio, but you probably don't believe Ole Okie and I on that one! READ the entire quotes from the article and then tell me that keyes supported Bush and thought he could win!

But what Keyes said was:
"G.W. Bush cannot make this case effectively," he said "...When it comes to dealing the issues of the moral crisis, he like many American politicians -- at a loss. "So when he stands toe to toe with Al Gore on issues like abortion, he will come off looking second best because he doesn't know how to make the case properly and effectively -- and so we'll lose." State Rep. Wayne Pettigrew, R-Edmond, asked Keyes who he would to have appointing the next three justices of the U.S. Supreme Court -- Bush or Gore? Keyes said that was an academic question. "The people who are deciding who's going to chose the next judges are folks who are deciding to put an ineffective, inarticulate, half-hearted indvidual into the naomination and send him out there," Keyes said. "He's not going to win, and so he's not going to be appointing judges. Your deluding yourself."
Then you said:
I will just point out you use of the word if. IF the GOP loses. Not the GOP will lose in November, but IF it loses in November.
Finish the quote, huh?
Keyes said that if the GOP loses in November, he will be there "to say I told you so, because it's about time that Republicans wake up, stop acting like lemmings, and every four years going over the cliff of hard-hearted destruction." (end of quoting article)
