THE folks at Msnbc are talking to former Republican presidential candidate and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Alan Keyes about hosting a 10 p.m. show up against Fox News' new hire, Greta Van Susteren. Meanwhile, Van Susteren, a lawyer before her O.J. Simpson commentary turned her into a CNN star, reportedly has penned an eight-page memo detailing CNN's demerits. She plans to keep the document secret as long as CNN doesn't try to paint her as an ungrateful traitor.

This is no game. Not on my part. This is for real. I'm just saying if you are serious about wanting this resolved -- and I don't know you, so I don't know if you are or you aren't -- then that's what needs to be addressed. The way Keyes treats people....the way he comes across....and the same for his supporters.
Good night to you as well
I thought maybe you could tell me...you seem to follow him closer than I do.
Really, Sunsong?
I understood that you believe
that we should rally behind our leader,
no matter what, for the good of the country.
It's our patrotic duty, you know.
By the same reasoning,
the citizens of an Islamic fundalmentalist
should always support their leader,
even if that leader is engaged in terrorism.
It's the patriotic thing to do.
(Notice, I didn't use any abusive language.
Now, you give it a try.
Don't fall back on the "Abuse Button" crutch.)
In terms of how folks come across here, I think there might be some folks on your side of this little dust up who might want to take a hard look in the mirror themselves.
If you all would devote this much venom to Daschle, he'd probably resign in short order.
;-)
If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.
Can you think real hard about this (allegation) and try to figure out some whos or whats or how muches...or cite some sources?
I never said that we should rally around our leader -- *no matter what*. I never said it was our patriotic duty. You are not telling the truth when you say I said that.
I said that I prefer the uniting of the country right now that GW and the war on terrorism are catalizing to Alan Keyes and his divisiveness.
I do think that Keyes and his supporters are getting lost in the letter and missing the spirit of what liberty and freedom are about. I do think that. I definitely think that they are walking away from love. I think they would rather be right than loving.
I find that kinda funny myself, EV. Seeing as how some of the paid ex-staffers don't even bother to come round these parts much anymore. Maybe that mirror was a little ugly......
But you are defending him, talking about how he's not the enemy; I was just curious why he never criticizes the Democrats.
You have no idea at what level of intensity I am working against Daschle. I am unimpressed with your willingness to assume things you do not know.
Perhaps, if you made less assumptions and judgements of others -- you would be more able to actually understand and hear what they are saying :)
good night now
You can always tell when a thread hasn't gone well for Keyes; we always get to hear about how nasty we are, as oppopsed to the saints on Keyes' side.
Why won't you just admit that Keyes pokes at Bush to keep himself in the news? We all know it's true.
You Keyes bashers can dish it out, but you can't take it. You think it is a fine thing to come into any thread in which he is involved, and just trash him. Well that is fine, until John Robinson's new changes allow the establishment of 'Thread Moderators', who can kick your off topic mass attacks out of the thread, you can expect to be met with the same attitude of human kindness which you dish out.
You are constantly trying to smear me with the 'he works for Keyes' thing, when I have told you and the world repeatedly that I haven't worked for him for over a year...I haven't seen him since Philly...I haven't had a conversation with the man in much longer.
I'm not privy to the inner workings of Alan Keyes brain!
I'm not privy to anything he does...I just defend him and others from what I know to be unjust and untrue attacks. I defend the parts of the Keyes agenda that I agree with...which is most of it...pro-life, the Second Amendment, property rights, national sovereignty, ending the income tax, etc, etc...
That's all.
Have another drink, and take the broken bottle out of your hand before you put your eye out.
