THE folks at Msnbc are talking to former Republican presidential candidate and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Alan Keyes about hosting a 10 p.m. show up against Fox News' new hire, Greta Van Susteren. Meanwhile, Van Susteren, a lawyer before her O.J. Simpson commentary turned her into a CNN star, reportedly has penned an eight-page memo detailing CNN's demerits. She plans to keep the document secret as long as CNN doesn't try to paint her as an ungrateful traitor.

If Fox wouldn't hire him, does it not make you wonder why MSNBC would? Aren't you the tiniest bit curious?
"Malice ... the basest of all instincts, passions, vices -- the most hateful."
It will be fun to discuss the show with you, if and when it airs.
Happy New Year,
Richard F.
Actually I never make any. (Grins and struts about looking important)., OK, OK, I do, but I don't think they usually extend to misidentifying the political party of guys who run for President.
I will name one, and leave it for you to research his website for the others (consider it an exercise): GOP candidate for US Senator from Maryland.
What am I to think if you, who first brought this up, can't or won't name the offices he was NOMINATED for?
BTW, you brought it up, as I said; you should be prepared to back it up with the facts, not send us off to do your research.
I hope you're implying that Mr. Keyes will take that to heart and not try to make "points" by bashing President Bush time and time again.
Anyway, Happy New Year, and I will remember you and yours in my prayers.
Best to you,
Richard F.
I didn't think so. Somehow, you don't seem to see the same "malice" toward Bush in Keyes' words that we do. How surprising. Not.
Perhaps you should reread this thread.
Richard, you REALLY do need to find another swipe to take at us; implying that we, once again, have misread and misinterpreted a thead is getting pretty old and is losing it's "orginality."
BTW, are you praying that I'll wake up and see Keyes' value to politics? If so, pray harder. And for more people.
I think the thread is fairly simple ... Keyes may have a significant public podium, and some of us think that will be good, and some not. Some have said rather sarcastic things about the prospects.
I sent you freepmail about my remark concerning prayer. That sort of thing is better kept private. But, I have not been praying about your politics ... though I guess we should, indeed, pray for everything we would wish.
Best to you and yours in the coming year, and to this country and its President,
Richard F.
Since I answered your question, and named the office he was nominated for, what am I to think of you, Gollum? Go back into your cave, and guard your preciousssss.
But that's NOT what you said, is it?
You said:
and that Alan Keyes has been nominated so frequently as the GOP candidate in various elections that that is one of the criticisms against him.
And I ask you to NAME all the offices he has been so frequently nominated to; you named ONE.
So, name the rest of them.
Or were you exaggerating?
I don't know about that, but I'll bet he won't criticize the Republicans in congress for "balancing the budget on the backs of the poor."
Seriously though, I can't wait to see him destroy the arguments of his liberal adversaries by using logic and reason without resorting to calling them names such as "big time a$$holes."
I know many here will disagree with him when he criticizes the president's massive increase in spending on Education or when he refuses to join in the PC condemnation of using profiling to combat terrorism, but it's always good to hear both sides of an issue.
Okay, you convinced me. I settle for the bell pepper.
Why do you say that GW is worse than Hitler?
